What is a sovereign European cloud?
A sovereign cloud is a cloud environment that is fully subject to European law — technically, contractually and organizationally. At starnode solutions this means hosting exclusively in certified German data centers, contracts under German law and open-source technologies with no access by non-EU providers.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored exclusively in ISO 27001 certified data centers in Nuremberg and Falkenstein, Germany. It never leaves German jurisdiction and is therefore not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
Is the European Cloud GDPR-compliant?
Yes. The entire platform is operated in Germany, customer data is strictly segregated and there is no hidden third-party access. Contracts and data processing agreements follow German and European law.
Can the European Cloud replace Microsoft 365?
